Whether you voted for him or not, Barack Obama has been elected to be our next President. All political and historical significance put aside, it's great to see a President knows how to do some legit pull-ups!

Shout-out to Faith who got a huge PR of 8 pull-ups today!
Also, Katie + Brittney got their first taste of "Fran" today and absolutely KILLED it!
The girls at CFV have been tearing it up lately. Guys, we need to start stepping it up too!

Assuming that really is Barack, have we ever had a president who could do a pull-up? Not in my recollection. Teddy Roosevelt? Probably not -- too heavy. I doubt any president has ever done one. If Barack can, Bravo.
A trainer at Spectrum insists that only one in 16,000 adults can do a single pull-up.

1 in 16,000??!!
That might be the most far off estimate I've ever heard. I'm not surprised it came from a trainer at Spectrum.
Americans as a whole may be pretty unfit, but I'm willing to bet that between the ages of 18-55, much more than 1%, let alone .006%, are capable of doing a pull-up. I think that number raises dramatically if we include the kipping pull-up.
Consider this: Katie, who has never done a pull-up before, attempted to do some kipping pull-ups yesterday for the first time. She got 3 in a row.
